Our sustainability work has been given a Gold rating by EcoVadis

Our sustainability work has been evaluated by the independent platform EcoVadis for six consecutive years. This year, we reached a new milestone by arriving at the gold level for the first time in their annual sustainability assessment, which currently is the most demanding assessment in today's sustainability field.

Evaluating their suppliers’ sustainability work is now the industry standard for most of our largest customers. Strategic sustainability work is a basic requirement to be able to compete for contracts in the public sector. So, it has become increasingly common for our customers to contact us with more or less detailed questionnaires, and even audits, to evaluate Ahlsell’s maturity in sustainability issues.

EcoVadis lets us streamline our ability to meet customer demands by asking all conceivable questions at once in a single evaluation, and also by requiring documentation for everything. The process requires a two-month response time and document collection for Ahlsell, a three-week analysis by EcoVadis and a final result that is compared with a total of 1,729 other companies in the category: Wholesale of other machinery and equipment.
