Hot-dip galvanised hexagon wood screw with flange, class 8.8, for easier, quicker, stronger installation of fittings, etc. in wood both indoors and outdoors. The screw is equipped with a hexagonal head with flange and grooves under the head. The flange means no washer is required for installation. PLEASE NOTE! When installing wood-to-wood, a larger washer may be needed to absorb any loads. The grooves under the head “grip" the metal and help prevent the screw from loosening. The threads are patented and have both a sawing and a cutting function, resulting in a cylindrical hole in the wood, better adhesion and a high extraction force. The screw is also equipped with a cutting tip that makes it suitable for installation at splices and near end grain.
