The moisture meter is a handy and reliable instrument for non-destructive measurement and determination of moisture in materials. The instrument measures by means of a dielectric field that penetrates materials down to a depth of between 30 and 50 mm, depending on the material. Clear measurement value changes make it easy to locate moisture damage, even through dry surface materials such as plastic mats, wallpaper, etc. testo 616 is especially suitable for moisture damage investigations where moisture is present but not visible. follow the process during a dehumidification process.

The instrument can also function as a moisture ratio meter that shows the moisture content of a material in weight percent compared to dry weight. This measurement only works on homogeneous (unmixed) materials.
